Across Africa on Motorbikes
This was the hardest trip of my life until date. We bought two motorbikes in Spain and decided to ride them all the way to Cape Town, via West Africa.
The bureaucracy, police corruption, heat, noise, pollution, diseases, crazy traffic just to name a few made this journey incredibly challenging, but also very rewarding.
It was one of those experiences it takes years to process. When I reflect back to all the moments we had in Africa, what we saw, the people we met and the challenges we had, I realized it was the trip I grew the most and it changed my perspective about the world I was born into in big ways.
Everything is relative after you’ve spent considerable time in Africa and I am now forever grateful for the way I was raised and the opportunities I now have just because I was born in a Western country.
See the map below with our route. After we made it to Cape Town, we drove the motorbikes to Mozambique where we sold them.
